Too often windows are an afterthought in cleanroom design. Windows should be used as often as possible. Windows are insignificant in the overall cost of the cleanroom yet does so much for both technicians and visitors to the cleanroom. For those inside the cleanroom, the windows help them to not feel isolated. This open feeling often enhances production. The cleanroom often contains a proprietary process, however there are times when either an existing customer or a prospective customer needs to view the cleanroom process. Having strategically placed windows allows visitors to see in but to only see specific parts of the process. Strategic locations enables a sales department to promote the company's cleanroom capabilities without compromising the security of the manufacturing process.
