Class 1000 Modular Design

We used a modular wall system to satisfy a client's requirements for a room that could be expanded in the future to allow for additional equipment. We used wall system utilizing 1/4" honeycomb metal panels with a painted metal finish on both sides and metal studs. The room required a dedicated air handling system in order to maintain tight temperature and humidity specifications. Fan powered HEPA filters were used in a return air ceiling plenum which reduced the size and cost of the air handler. Low side wall return air grilles were used and chases were created to allow the air to flow out of the room and back to the ceiling plenum. In order to accommodate equipment within the room and to allow for the planned expansion, return air chases on one wall were located outside the room. A certain percentage of air was re-circulated by the fan powered HEPA filters while the remaining amount of air was returned to the air handling unit. Air for room pressurization was taken from the space surrounding the room eliminating the need for having to condition air from outside of the building. Contamination Solutions has completed six projects for this manufacturing company.
