Class 1000 with Load Bearing Roof Deck

Our objective was to build a Class 1,000 cleanroom for a manufacturer of chemicals used for polishing semiconductor wafers. The cleanroom was built in a non-conditioned warehouse. The cleanroom had to maintain both temperature and year round humidity conditions thereby requiring a dedicated hvac system. By installing a load bearing roof deck we were able to create a plenum above the ceiling for air distribution ductwork and provide a location for the air handling unit. Utilizing the roof, also provided the customer with additional storage space.
