ISO CLEANROOM AUDIT

Cleanrooms in a manufacturing facility are the most expensive square footage in the entire plant. The cleanroom is also the most productive and critical environment. Yet, cleanroom maintenance too often gets taken for granted. Care and attention is given to the cleanroom as it is built but often loses its high priority once all is operating.

Contamination Solutions, Inc. offers a cleanroom audit service to assess the operating condition of the cleanroom.  The components of the audit are:

  • Particle counts to verify the room’s current cleanliness level
  • Measurement of the airflow from each HEPA diffuser to calculate if the volume of air meets the original design air change ratio
  • Measurement of the static resistance across the HEPA filter to determine the service life of the filter
  • Measurement of room pressures
  • Labeling each HEPA filter for reference
  • Drawing and report of results of the survey
  • Observation of activities and processes within the cleanroom to determine if these activities can have a negative impact on the cleanroom conditions
  • Written report of observations, results of tests and recommendations

The result of this audit will provide a document outlining that state of the cleanroom and allow management to budget items that need to be replaced or repaired and to verify that the cleanroom is performing to the original design.
