By configuring the media in a V shape, the filter can handle higher air volumes at lower resistance than other filters. A 95% 24x24x12 filter has 193 sq.ft. of media and can handle 3,000 cfm at an initial resistance is 0.37" w.g. The filter is only available in a 12" depth and typically is provided with a single header. The filter provides long service life and additional energy savings since it operates at such a lower initial resistance. A two to three year service life is not unusual for this filter.
